Good Ending 4 (Champion Best in Show Dog!) Your dog wins Top Prize at an Agility dog show! This ending is gotten when a dog’s Walk Level AND Friends Level is high! Take good care of your dog (feed, water, and brush him regularly) and takes LOTS of long walks everyday! Rough Translation of dialogue: “(Max) has become popular in the Neighborhood” Screenshot taken from the official Japanese MTO website (sorry for the small low-quality picture, that’s how it is on the site). I am not sure how to get this ending as I have been unable to get it after many attempts. Your dog becomes famous among the locals. Take good care of your dog (feed, water, and brush him regularly) and teach him lots of tricks! (But be careful not to over-stress him or you’ll get the Bad “Sick Dog” Ending!) You and your dog form a very close bond and are best of friends! This ending is gotten when a dog’s Training Level and Friends Level is high. Good Ending 1 (Best Friends With A Close Bond) This ending is gotten when you take good care of your dog (food/water/brushing) but have a low Training and Friends level. While nothing special, you and your dog become good friends. I have no idea what it could be though, maybe it could be another neutral or good ending even? Given how there are supposedly 11 endings (and 5 are good and 1 is neutral), this seems to suggest that the one mystery ending left is a bad one (which would make 5 bad and thus even with number of good). This ending is gotten when you over-train your dog and don’t brush/play with it enough (stats are high Training level but low Friends level). The dog is over-stressed and ends up falling ill. This ending is gotten when minimum care is given (food/water) but there is little to no Friends level. The main character loses interest in the dog and leaves the parents taking care of it. This ending is gotten when you completely ignore your dog and don’t take care of it (have little to no Training/Friends level and don’t feed/water it). Your dog doesn’t acknowledge your authority much to your dismay. Rough Translation of dialogue: “He’s on the table, ugh, this is bad!” NOTE: These endings apply to both Dogz AND it’s 2007 sequel Dogz 2 (both games use the same endings). In this guide I go into detail on each ending and how to get it (plus here is a video showing most of them in full). The neutral and 5 good endings all unlock the coveted “Together Forever Mode” which allows you to keep your puppy forever. At least 4 bad endings, 1 neutral ending, and 5 good endings (this leaves 1 unknown ending…). There are, according to some website descriptions, a total of 11 endings. So far I have found 8 and and there’s at least 2 more I know about. I only knew of 4 endings as a kid but now replaying the game as an adult I decided to speedrun the game many times to try to find all the endings. A very cute and satisfying puppy dog sim, it was my favorite GBA game as a kid and I spent many hours playing it! One of the neat things about this game was that it had many different endings to the story mode depending on how you take care of your dog. It was originally named “Kawaii Koinu” (Cute Puppy) in Japan and made by MTO in 2004. Thank you for all of your support throughout the years - CoolROM will continue strong. In 2005 DOGZ for the Game Boy Advance was released to English audiences. We feel we have reached this goal and helped cure more cases of nostalgia than we could have ever imagined. From the very beginning, our goal was to allow users to re-live classic moments from video games that they have lost and cannot purchase anymore. We are very grateful to have served the emulation community for so many years and to have CoolROM still exist today. This page has been removed due to a request from Nintendo of America Inc.
